Clennett’s Mitre 10 & HCM to Sleep Rough … So Others Don’t Have to

HCM is excited to announce our very first Sleep Rough community fundraising event!

‘Sleep Rough… so others don’t have to’, will be held on Friday 27th May, and will raise much needed funds and awareness for people experiencing homelessness in Southern Tasmania.

For one night only, participants will sleep at the iconic Princes Wharf No. 1 (PW1) to show their solidarity with Tasmanians who sleep rough, or live in improvised shelter every night.

We are also extremely proud to have Clennett’s Mitre 10, join as Major Partner for the event.

Clennett’s Mitre 10 General Manager, Matt Haas, says that they are excited to support and get involved in the event.

“It’s so important that as a community we get behind these initiatives to help people create a better life for themselves and their families”, says Matt.

“We’d love to see as many Tasmanians as possible get involved and get behind Sleep Rough”.

“We’re really looking forward to it and we’re encouraging our staff to get involved. And anyone else who wants to jump on board, please do. Let’s make it a huge event and a successful one”.

“By joining, or donating to Sleep Rough, you will be making a further commitment to support those facing homelessness in Southern Tasmania. We can tackle this issue together”.

Hobart City Mission would also like to thank Petrusma Property, Unica Wealth and TasNetworks for partnering with Sleep Rough.
