Small Steps celebrates fifth anniversary!

This month marks the fifth anniversary of the highly successful Small Steps program for young mums and their babies. This much-needed program has gone from strength to strength during those five years, and has now helped more than fifty mothers and their children to make the transition into their own homes.

Small Steps is currently at full capacity, with eleven mums and their children housed in the program, so the success rate looks set to continue, thanks in no small part to the incredible support for this program from mentors, and donors.

Program coordinator Nonie Pople agrees. “We are currently supporting a number of reunifications between mothers and their children, and also focusing on helping a number of the mums to breastfeed, and we couldn’t do it without you. The support we receive from the community is critical to the success of Small Steps. From driving lessons to cooking classes, almost everything we do in Small Steps is paid for by donors like you.”
