Age no barrier for some of our youngest donors!

Some of our youngest donors and volunteers are at it again! The Sandy Bay Cub Scouts have recently completed a huge Food Drive for the Winter Appeal, which was so successful we couldn’t fit all of the food into one vehicle! On top of that they also raised more than $100 in donations!

This amazing group of youngsters are aged from eight to eleven years old, and this not the first time they have helped Hobart City Mission. The cub pack has been a regular contributor to Hobart City Mission for several years now, through door-knocking, letter-dropping, collecting donations, and making their own donations.

CEO John Stubley says Hobart City Mission receives assistance from an incredible range of people and community groups in southern Tasmania, but the Cub Scouts are definitely amongst the youngest. “Our donors and volunteers are an amazingly diverse group, but the Sandy Bay Cub Scouts are some of our youngest, and most enthusiastic,” he said.

In recognition of their efforts, John visited the Sandy Bay Cub Scouts in early June to present
a certificate of appreciation to this very excited group of young cubs.
